Shangri-La

What a view! House was nice, outside of property needed some TLC. Boat dock was just OK and definitely needed a scrub down! Rooms were sizable, if no closet they needed a dresser for storage…. Set-up was a bit off and definitely rooms, specifically the living room could have used some side tables. Overall stay was GREAT!

Only challenge was no dressers and closets in some of the bedrooms. Other than that, location and views were great. It was the warmest lake water I've ever been in. The nuclear plant on the lake ejects its cooling water into the lake. It brings the lake temperature up to upper 90s to low 100s. Looked like fishing was pretty good. Surprised me.Lauren and Greg were very responsive.

The location of the property is great - you have a beach area and also a boathouse that allowed for some fun swimming off the dock. The decks were nice too. The inside of the property was disappointing. Clearly it had not been cleaned very well (hair on the bathroom floors, unwiped countertops, etc.) I also think for the price of this house, there should be basic things provided to us, like dishwashing soap, soap in the showers, shampoo and conditioner. Extra paper towels, etc. To treat this like a vacation and getaway, it felt like we had to prep a lot of things that should have been provided. I was also disappointed again in the cleaning, given how expensive the cleaning fee is. My expectation based on price is that we shouldn't have to be cleaning ourselves (happy to pick up and leave the property in good condition of course) but not going above and beyond if there is a steep cleaning fee.
